archer and friendlyfire

would it not be more "realistic" and challenging if the archers would inflict friendlyfire as well ?
i do not like the pictures of knights or something fighting in front while archers stand just behind them and fire in a way that my knights would be dead sooner then the enemy my archers are supposed to fire on.

Hm since in most battles (at least in open fields) you will get very fast in melee, that would not be nice. They can shoot one or two times and then would be useless.

I think its okay that siege weapons make friendly fire but archers should not.

Orcs and elves should not be in the game when you want it realistic as well ;)

However, thy could reduce the accuracy or the damage inflicted by archers, when the arrows hit targets that are in melee combat. That would be a much better way.

that sounds like a good solution.

but there definately should be something in the game preventing the archers to fire "through" teammates fighting in front of them :)

nope, horrible idea during castle sieges.you're troops would get massacred easily during castle sieges if they had friendly fire one.And really fast

well as nimira said before, it does not have to be friendlyfire. could be some kind of damage reduction or less accuracy - but everything is better then watching archers fire "through" their comrades hitting the enemy as if there wouldnt be any comrades..
