Dawn of Fantasy Trailer & Gameplay Footage

With the start of the beta looming, we have decided to release a short gameplay video showing off some of the new improvements we have made to the game. It shows off a bit of the Online Kingdom, and demonstrates the new world map in action. There are also plenty of build up and action sequences to chew on, so enjoy the new video

Here are just a few things to be seen:
  • Updated UI
  • New World Map
  • Capital Cities
  • Mercenary Outposts
  • Markets
  • Sieges
  • Defense
  • And plenty more

(higher quality available through YouTube as well)

Disclaimer:
We had to rush this video over the weekend due to internal reasons and thus many shortcuts were taking with recording this video. Down the road you can expect a segnificantly improoved gameplay video - both recording quality wise, and perhaps with in-game SFX recorded
Alos keep in mind this is still an alpha build footage - visually and technically DoF will be improved significantly during the beta period.

If you haven't already, also check out Dawn of Fantasy's official trailer from August 2009:

First post!

This is amazing. Especially love the fx for the flaming ammunition on the trebuchets, the amazingly realistic projectiles and the EPIC music! Can't think of a single problem with this, except that it ended...

This is great! :D

Liked everything of it. This video actually washed away my fears of overpowered catapults being able to whipe away armies, but they hardly hit on normal units.
The music was great to, although its great but if that keeps looping ingame i will kill myself. :D

To bad you only have human footage :(.

(loading HD loading HD, tapping foot in anticipation) lalala...going insaaane!

Edit: Wow it's very crisp, looks amazing all around! It really shows a lot, i'm really curious about travel time still seeing as i'm planning on braken~ orcs. I'd hate to be out of the mix due to location.

Great video. Can't wait to play/test it.

Very nice =), human fortresses are looking very tempting to have since the battles there look just epic =P. People:buildings proportions only bugged my eyes=). Any plans to make sizes realistic?

Its for reason that the scale is off. If you look a most RTSs the scale is off(units almost the height of the buildings). Look at Starcraft(2) or Age Of Empires series.

The music was added after the footage was recorded, so it isn't like that in game

Wow the screenshots do less justice to the game, I actually though the graphics were poor, seeing the video, they seem downright decent for an alpha ;p.

And the smoothness, can't wait for beta now :D.

*cough* editor *cough*

Looking absolutely awesome!!! The archers and siege really caught my eye, this game is different, and they are the things we can see that really sets this game apart from all the others! :D
