View Full Version : Treant = battering ram?

Iím trying to use a treant to ram a gate down and it doesnít do anything. I can get it to latch onto a wall so my troops can climb up and onto the wall but it just stops at a gate when I click on one and does nothing else. Do I need to research an upgrade or something first? I canít find one and everything Iíve read says treants are the elven battering rams so am left confused as to how I ram a gate down. If not with a treant then what do I need to use instead?

I think this might be a pathfinding bug. Try moving Treant much closer to the gate (as close as possible), and task it to attack the gate at that point.
We should have something in the upcoming patch 24 to fix this.

I have tried having the treant right next to the gate but it still does nothing. I have also found when I do co-op quests the other player will do something to destroy a wall or gate and I’ll see the wall still in relatively good health while they see it slowly getting destroyed. Also when another elven player used his treant to ram a gate it just looked like it was walking into the gate for me. Yet after a little bit of time I saw the other guys units enter the castle through the gate after they had destroyed it. For me the gate was on something like 10800/11200 health though still. Apparently the other guy was surprised the gate had that much health shown for me as they said it was much lower for them. Is this a bug too?

make sure your targeting the gate and not the wall on top of it. i have doen this plenty of times before
