<img style="padding-right:3px;" align="left"src="http://www.dawnoffantasy.com/icons/photoicon.png" />As summer is drawing to an end our team is hard at work on a soon to be announced second expansion pack, meanwhile - we thought it`s time to release another patch addressing most of the common issues reported by our players. Today`s patch fixes majority of known exploits and core gameplay issues, as well as introduces another new awesome unit - Dragon`s Breath. We also rebalanced all buildings costs and some other unit stats. Our next patch scheduled for the end of August will finally include the long-awaited Pathfinding - once again we would like to apologize for the delay - but we want to do it right. And be sure to check back next week for a full announcement on our second free expansion pack - to be released early this Fall.

Patch # 19

:::::Major Fixes and Additions:::::
-New Unit - Dragons Breath siege weapon added to Market
-Automatic detection of cheat use, with cheaters repot system
-Updated main loading screen
-Added daily limit for exchanging Gold for Crowns (50)
-Reduced unit self-healing by 30%, reducing maximum upgrade points by 25%
-Exploit Fix: Memory Cheating
-Exploit Fix: Resources and Crown accumulation via Macros
-Exploit Fix: Duplicating Units
-Rebalanced prices of all buildings
-Rebalanced pop costs of all heroes and dragons

:::::Minor Fixes and Additions:::::
-On pay-out Dragons and Heroes will get damaged if no resources or other units present in the army
-Loot is not removed on auto-loot, so the other player can also loot corpses
-Players can't reset skills during PvP or CoOp missions.
-When paying off attacker on worldmap - player only gets 10 minutes PvP protection
-PvP protection for defending player is now 1 hour + the length of battle time
-PvP protection for attacking player is now the length of battle time
-Fixed issue with Dragons being trampled by Cavalry
-Dragon Horn ability only affects Dragons on the ground

-Royal Dragon pop value increased to 15
-Red/Ice/Haunter Dragon pop value increased to 12
-Green Dragon pop value increased to 8

-Storage Change: Orc Hut +20 to 100

-Blood Purge: -50% area of effect, -33% Damage, +30sec cooldown, -30 fatigue cost

thx now my army is to big and it's realy high nerfed (most the swordsmen)
honestly the 3 or 4. nerf to the swordsmen they are so weak now thx -.-
i was offline for the last 2 months now it seems i go never online again you just do stupid nerfs everytime

By not allowing the skills to be changed in battle you totally remove a unique micromanagement to your game that I thought you intentionally added.

Then I see that you listed this change under "Minor Fixes and Additions" you have totally Ruined your game play and with the large amount of bugs and glitches it was the only thing making this game tolerable.

Epic Fail.

So, the elite units that already took up a questionable amount of army cap in regards to their usefullness now take even more. I'm guessing this is a hint to not use any elite units?

I swore off of this game until things were changed and the game was better. I must have been doing something wrong because everyone else is able to get much further and stronger faster than I ever could. I was not able to accomplish things at even half the rate that other people do. Now I come on here and check to see if any updates were made, and the only updates made will make the game harder, and slower, and less fun as well as putting in unneccesary extra units. There's going to be an expansion? This game plays like it isn't even out of beta, and you're already doing expansions? What?

-5% crush res +5% pierce res more dmg and hp for you is a nerf? at list put some logic into what you wanna complain about


Swordsman role is tank expecial ranged, so their pierce dmg is one of the highest in game, of course wearing armor means they are slow, and vulnerable to crush weapons(this is why crush res got lowered, and tbh still quite high anyway), nothing changed on their main role, tank slash dmg and ranged dmg. they even got slightly more dmg and hp.
Long story short their main role capability is improved.



Regards dragons and heroes, since units on next patches will get a general resistance nerf (all 3) of about1 0% , and dragons got recently augmented by alot their hp/dmg , the pop cost got augmented, consider also dragons now are not bugged anymore vs mounted units.

Another big issue was ppl running with dragon only army, in the future we wanna limit the number of special units you can have for army to something: like max 4heroes and max 2 dragons, but now for limit them we need to use the population cost.
We wanna also limit the number of normal troops for army to max 14 of same kind, this for avoid mono units army, or mono heroes or mono dragons, but this kind of script will require a lot of time, since we will need to re-write the entire army system ,so for now we work with the basic values.
If need dragons/heroes will get again a boost in hp/dmg maybe res(for dragons) for match their augmented pop cost. this untill we work on the new system, then we will lower again pop cost.(since the dmg seams fine probably res/hp for dragons will be best choice, while heroes will get more hp, also both will get more strenght values since now a royal dragon need to have strenght values similar to 15 normal troops)


Regards skill reset, it was never ment to be available during fight, enabling ppl to freely change skill on their entire army based on the opponent is a cheap shot, it will also have a crowns cost on next patch.
Ppl should think wisely how to skill their units, not have a magic button at no cost,that allow them to unskill-reskill all stats based on who they are facing.

So, basically what you are saying is that currently dragons are broken on purpose. A royal dragon does not match up against 15 normal units. But since some people run with dragon only armies you found that the best way to fix this is to make them not viable for anyone?

Regarding skill resets costing crowns, that's just silly.
Skill points can easily be spent wrong if you have a squad selected and two units lvl up at the same time. A more logical way would be that you can only respecc your units in your hometown.

Thank you for all the great work implemented in the ongoing patches! the only thing i am currently frustrated about is the siege damage of my green dragon.

I find it hard to believe that it does 25 damage against gates for the cost of 8 battalion cap, making it as strong as a regular siege ram seems more realistic and actually gives the dragons a good improvement that i think it needs and is not overpowered.

always fixing stuff that not broke how about new high end content and something to keep us coming back nerfing and lower cost of building is not what we need. Building cost is not a problem with in 2 days you can have your city maxed out. if you want to sell more crowns which by lowering the amount you can exchange means your trying to do add stuff to the store! there is no reason for us high lvls to come back to the game when nothing new beside nerfs are thrown in. just my opion from one of you long time players.

ok this is starting to get lame i had to delete so many dragons already because i have like 10 armies and no more room to put them anywhere, now i have to delte more special units and dragons or i wont be able to move or do anything. am i ganna get a refund or what? this sucks
can i atleast put my special units back into the market place. there is no reason at all to play this game if i cant even use my armies ever thought about that? im not ganna delete all my special units like last time where you guy incrased the pop

you guys dont really think this thru at all, if you need to balance thats fine but not able to play the game at all because of this move whats the point of playing if you dont have an option for the special units to put somewhere?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

For Weeks it was cried about thus Units being to Strong about people abusing skillpoint reset during battle and about other stuff that got fixed now.

And the moment its fixed the guys who were abusing that stuff show up and cry about its being gone xD

Well and of course theres people like me who are Completly unaffectet by it.
I am not putting priority to any Certain Units especially not Special Units so I am pretty much left out for most of the part. ^^

Theres one thing I got to comment on.
I think as Forums Admin/Moderator you should have a bit more discretion.
Its fine if you offer your personal Opinion.
But you should seriosly not do it under an Forum Title saying "Forum Admin"
Nobody expects you to lie about stuff or to hide you personal opinion about something.
But you should not use an Account tagged with the Companys Emblem while offering your personal Opinion.
Either keep your Comment privately inside the Company. Or refrain from Commenting.
Or use an Private Account to show clearly that your not speaking for the Company or the Mod Team but only for yourself in that matter.....

Its bad for Teams Morale and Discipline if someone from the Team openly argues against the Team.....


You always need to consider who you are and what your Position is matey.
When wearing your Companys Clothes or in this case an Company Sign and Title you are Representing the Company.
That also means that people relate your statements and your behavior to the Company.

ps in the 2 Admin Teams (well GM Teams more accurately) I served in you would have been out of the Team with such an Statement ^^
As there was an Solidarity Rule saying that your Forbidden to Contradict Statements made by other Teammembers or the Company itself while on the Mod Account :)

Kon is far more lenient so I doubt this will affect your status here
(actually he is far too lenient in my eyes but well not my place to speak ^^)

Tough of course we also made seperate Accounts there not carrying our personal Accounts Name in the first Place :)
So we had an Personal and an Seperate Mod account to begin with.
So for us that was easier to follow.
You seem to have your normal Account just with Mod Status ^^

talk for your self, i didnt cry or could care less im all for balancing the game, but if you read my post not able to ****ing play the game because of that is retarted!!!

i once already had to delete i dont knwo how many hunter dragons when they first changed how many pops each unit takes. i didnt get a refund or anything

now its the same ****! sorry if they add something than they also need to think it thru!
all my units are over populated means i cant move my armies anywhere, i have no space to put them anywhere since my home is full and i already got 10 armies!

now im ****ing screwed!!!! only way to fix this is to delete units agian! thats lame!
specicaly when there already trained!

iv spend so much money on this game and instead to help out the supporting people they just slap them in the face and dont give a ****. they could refund the lost units or atleast move them back to market or something.

i cant ****ing play the game at all anymore!!!!!!
what am i supposed to do now?!?!?! sit there and just delete all my units agian!!!!!
waste money again!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was lucky white the game as it was I had nothing to complain about I was about to slay the human and elf capital citys white my dragon army that I can not use. I don't have so many friends I can co-op white so I used much time to build a strong enough army to slay Makkada and it worked I now have a army at 1014. And I have any city at 1100 whit a lvl 60 ice dragon and I use camps outside my city to make gold and any thing I need now I can't move my resources in to the city. I got 9 of 10 armys so I most destroy som of my units or do nothing.

Hey do you think that with next patch or so you could finish disigning the walls for the human forest area becasue it looks terrible with half the wall of the stronghold missing and many other players agree with me....if you need any help with it i will help you guys for free since i do know game disigning and i have created many Skyrim mods that people love that is wall related and i know what needs to be done

Maybe you should look at what their problem really is. Dragons are strong but they aren't so big. But hard to get. So maybe you should increase the price.

I was told there was going to be a patch this week well week over no patch should i be surprised no not really should i even be surprised that Hi11zone lied no not really. Just putting out what i was told cause i still can just barely play this game cause of the amount of bugs.

The Game has Bugs but its not Gamebreaking so I hardly care so far.

If theres one thing you can certain on this Game its that the Devs nearly never keep true to their own announced deadlines :P

Then again they usually at least give us an message of apology for the Delay.

Its pretty unusualy that the Patch is late and we dont have Kon telling us that hes sorry and that things will be coming at weekend or whatever :)

Apologies for the delay and the lack of communication, I work behind the scenes and wasn't aware that the people who usually respond on the forums were absent. I'll speak to Kon about being more active on the forums, but he has been busy on some behind the scenes things too.

Our engine programmer is stuck on one final big bug that came up in testing, but hopefully that can be resolved soon so we can release the patch before we lose too many more people who get tired of waiting. Pathfinding should improve performance and stop those lagspikes when large groups of units move.

I posted about this elsewhere but I'll mention it here as well - removing reskilling in PVP was only supposed to be a temporary measure, as there were complaints about people abusing it. It will be re-instated next patch with a restriction of one reskill per unit per battle.

We are on track to release the magic expansion in November (different people are working on that to pathfinding), and we've got other additions planned as well for after that.

I have had internet issue, but no worries i'll restate what i posted earlier.

I have stated where the game is at in steam and on the forums and in emails. So I will do it again. We are a little behind I stated this. We want to get the patch out as fast as we can. We are getting there, and we are sorry for the delay. I will keep you posted when I know more, and give you an actual date on when the patch will be ready. We want it as bug free as we can and have it improve the game leaps and bounds!

As a piece of advise I would recommend to make an effort in order to finish the current and long waited patch. If it brings, at least, the pathfinding, and fix some minor (but annoying) bugs, that will give the game some months of life in which you could work more relaxed and more focused in expanding and improving the content and the game itself. Currently the game is in it's worst momment, and the difference bettwen a deadly game and a promising one is this patch. People is leaving every day the patch is missing, and most of them probably never return, so you'd better hurry. It would be a pitty letting this game die...

iv been here since the beginning of DoF followed it years ago when it was in alpha/beta
for 3-4 months the forums have been dead and no update have been giving to us.
its sad to say but i think the game is dead??? if its not it would be great to have a new thread with information what is going on. no lies just straight up tell us whats going on.
be fair the the players who been here and supported this game or who are new. spending money even tho the game is dead is not fair to anyone. please let us know what is going on.
