Trainers for pc are very popular. Could there be even the slightest chance you would be able to create a trainer for the xbox 360, dont worry, you would be the very first game company to create a cheat system for xbox 360:p

We haven't decided on if we are going to allow cheats on either version yet.

I think there should be an in game tutorial for like your first couple of games continually teaching you better skills as you progress. Sounds a little complicated but it would be awesome if this could happen.

If they are going to have any cheats implented it has to be the old doom cheats like iddqd = god mode and idkfa = unlimited resources :p

That depends on what kind of strategy game you like ;)

A Trainer is a program that will give you certain things you want in the game. For instance if one was made of DoF, you could specify how many resources you want, if your upgrades are complete, ect.

Era's? I like the thing they had in BFME2 but it did become overpowering at times.

To anwse WK`s question - there is a lengthy single-player tutorial (over an hour long actually) as well as pop-up tips for MMORTS mode.

well i wd only use this in trainer, if this trainer was actually made, skirmish only would be a must, you would need to make it so you are not allowed to use in MP

Yeah. I don't think it would be available online.

Some people like to play cheat games soemtimes. When you turn on cheats it is for everyone. It would be an option and most people choose to play with them off anyway. I don't see anything wrong with cheats, and it is fairly simple to just disable them in the campagin for the devs.

I just don't want this to become overused and ruin the game for other players.

I've never found a sinlge online game in my life where the host has allowed cheats. Cheats don't really ruin the game IMO, it's so rare to see a game in which they're used. And if the host has cheats enabled you simply find a different game.

Yeah but sometimes it takes a while to find a game. I just really don't like cheating at all. It ruins the fun for me.

It's a choice. If you don't like cheating then don't cheat, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be included in the game.

Personally I don't mind cheat for one specific reason. I'm not this super ultimate player, I'm not even average, I'm almost average. I don't want the story of the game being halted if I suck so bad I can't get past a level that I find impossible no matter how many times I try.

I did this with Warcraft 3, which was sad, but I did it to get by three levels I couldn't beat on hard, so I could continue with the story.

Again, it's a choice.

Does the Age Of Empires cheat option count in multiplayer mode?

Very true imo. Only very basic cheats should be permitted ingame. Not 'god mode' or 'ammo full' types.

We probably will add a few cheats in the 360 version, I'll see what we can do. No guarantee.
Would just be simple single player cheats, such as making the sight ranges of your units 10X, giving you 100X resources, giving your men 50%+ more armor and hit rating.
Yea we could add a few cool little cheats.
