Ok, so in many different games, i have loved to make maps, create levels, edit units stats, abilities etc, turning units into towers, creating tower defences, tag games, castle defenses etc.

What i wonder ism what are reverie studios sight on custom games and levels?
Will the levels be the important part? Or will specific maps too? I.e. can i create a tower defence map, then go to a custom game section later, host a game with said map, then have random people from around the world (like in warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2) or will it be more like having map contests where the better maps will be added to online world and different prices and stuff.

Like, if its never gonna be a matchmaker for custom maps and mapstyles, il just make levels without thinking about changing units and stuff like that. Dont wanna make something that noone ever will touch, if you know what i mean ^^

I look forward to seeing what your create. I used to make custom scenarios for Age of Mythology before joining Reverie and the other devs made custom maps for other games too.

At the moment, custom maps/scenarios can only be played in single player. Mulitplayer custom maps are something we might enable in the future and could even incorporate some of them as quests in the Online Kingdom if they are suitable.

We'll be speaking to Steam about the Steam Workshop so that players might be able to upload and download custom scenarios.

There are lots of things you can change about units within a scenario - like stats, abilities and attack type. We hope to be able to put out a guide to the Editor at some point.
