Steam should be launching the Greenlight in a few hours (unless the valvetime syndrome strikes), and we are hoping to get DoF up there on day 1 (still not sure how long Steam would take to post submissions though).

So here`s hoping it all works out- and stay tuned, we`ll have an announcement with tons of good stuff relating to Greenlight later today (as soon as Greenlight goes live)

I voted for it but it has 0% necessary positive ratings :(

Also when I'm on the main greenlight page and I filter to look for DoF, I don't see it anywhere?

I don`t think Greenlight enable that system yet - none of the games have it. And I tried searching and found it - just go to the: "Search Greenlight"

We can confirm you will NOT have to pay again, and you`ll be able to add it to your steam library. Even though this is like 3 extra weeks of work for our programmers:)

I voted for you guys, I hope it works out. Though I have not played in some time, I really did genuinely enjoy the time I was able to spend building my kingdom. You guys are one of my favorites in the gaming industry, please keep at it!

99% to go! personally think DOF will get the 100% needed because its more polished than most of the products shown anyway

Thanks for the kind words Sal!

And for our Day 1 Update (well 6 hours actually:p)

User Approval Score: 90%
Unique Visitors 10,898
Calculated rating: 1%

What a great start! Thanks for all the support guys! Calculated Rating is the key statistic here. There are 6 titles with a rating of 2% or more right now, and 21 title share the 1% mark with DoF, all this out of 388 current submissions) - so I guess no matter how we spin this DoF is in the top 10% right now.

your telling me, standards are very high, and have you seen the god awful games on greenlight? it seems like we're going back to 1980 gaming lol... dont get me wrong, some of those oldies are amazing games, and we still love them now because of the memories attached to them, but geez, this is the new milenium!! need to get with the times indi devs lol... not everything should be like warrior princess :D

I of course voted up DOF and favorated, but i hope this will get some recognition, i also left a comment on there also so hopefully with a 90% approval rating, will let it get far...

yeah, it's a real pity a lot of people are taking advantage of greenlight and posting fake games up as jokes

is the system bugged or something? It's still at 1% despite all the new visits and favorites...

We are getting there - and it`s too early to start worrying. Another 3-4 hours and should be at 2%. Right now only 8 games are above 2%, and that`s out of 550+ submission.

The only 3 games that are doing really well with 7% are:

-Slender: Source (which I don`t get why - videos look just awful and it`s in early early pre-alpha)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92917473

-Project Zomboid (it is a great game with a huge huge follow up)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92916900

-No More Room in Hell (not a game but highlife mod, it is a good mod, but not sure if Steam will even feature it - it`s not Counterstrike...)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92917582

So as long as we get to 2% later tonight (and we should) and continue to gain 1% per day - we`ll be doing good.

i thought slender was already released and free....

j/wing but are you guys by any chance filtering the comment sections? theres so many positive comments ;P

Hope you guys will have a great success , this is a great game the only think that sucks is that there are not enough players:(

Konstantin Fomenko

Actually comments have been purely amazing. I did delete one - but they were selling ******:)
And woah - requirements are going higher and higher, we are well towards 25,000 visitors - we did hit 2% this morning, but now back down to 1%, but guessing we`ll be back up to 2% in no time... But woah - looks like the system scales up all the time. At this point looks like a game would need 2,500,000 visitors and 180,000 people favoring the game to make it on Steam... seems a bit off the charts.

Novakiller
09-01-2012, 05:44 PM
that is a bit insane? whos determining how the system scales? valve? well im spreading the word of the game to my friends lists and all that but im hoping you'll get it on there eventually... how long does greenlight last? does it ever fade? do games only stay on there for a certain ammount of time before their taken off and votes are stoped for it?

Gruber12
09-02-2012, 02:28 AM
I just checked it on steam, it says it has 0%

Novakiller
09-02-2012, 10:00 AM
the devs probably have access to more tools and information then we do as users for the greenlight stats why it shows us as 0% but the devs the actual number...

Konstantin Fomenko
09-02-2012, 03:15 PM
Actually we are at 3% right now and looking good:)

Just found some cool statistics that help track everything: http://forcedthegame.com/?page_id=1926 It`s only updated once every 2 hours or so, but once it is with 3% we`ll be in the best 25 out of 700.

They don't need 100% rating, only Steam wants to see that there will be a community of steam users behind the game, it's mentioned in their FAQ's somewhere on the Greenlight pages.

Hope you guys get lit.

is it up yet

Valve have said they will be greenlighting the next 10 games 15th Oct. We won't quite make that list but if Valve keeps greenlighting 10 games a month then we should be greenlit by Christmas and hopefully we'll be on Steam either just before Christmas or early in the new year.

Of course, we still need more votes to ensure our spot on the list, so if you haven't voted yet please do so now and spread the word to family, friends, random strangers, etc. :p

Also, a few positive comments from current players on our Greenlight page wouldn't hurt either :D

I think it`s time to share some good news - we are on the verge of moving to the top 20 spots. Currently DoF is sitting in the 21st position, and been moving up steadily in the past 3 weeks. I guess this is an accomplishment of it`s own - to be in the top 20 out of 800, considering we barely did any marketing or promoting in our community.

I`m hopeful that Steam might consider letting DoF in on October 15th, as from what data I have - Dawn of Fantasy is one of a few actually finished games current in the top 20.

But if October 15th doesn`t work, hopefully the next round - I`m guessing somewhere in November will finally make our dream come true.
