Lately it has become an Issue that you keep Losing Units you took a Liking to
So now I want to make the Following Proposal
Let a Player have an Honor Guard
Working as Follows
You get a new Building (or just an tech)
named Honor Guard Quarters
as well as 3 additional Techs I will explain down here
Player with no Tech can have 1 Unit as Honor Guard of its Hero
Player with the Building can have 3 Units as Honor Guard
1. Tech Now you can have the Tech Expanded Honor Guard to have 5 Units as Honor Guard
2. Tech You can Research Expert Weaponry and Armor which will give Honor Guard Units a slight Buff to their Stats
3. Tech Named "Pride of the Army" allowing your Honor Guard to lvl up to lvl 40 (middle between Hero and Normal Units)
The Honor Guard aside from being a Little Stronger then Normal Units
can be Revived Using Ressources and if they are high lvl of course it would also Cost Influence

I like your idea - however I think we need a much bigger solution. What we had in mind is making badly wounded units loose all their morale and flee from the combat. This will not work every time, and chances of them getting away successfully will depend on their level. I don`t see us adding this in until later December though.

Well thats also a Nice Idea
since it Follows the Moral Concept which was Proposed at some other Point
But keep this one in Mind since it is mainly Directet at having some Elite Units
you could say this is more or Less Aimed at having some Units which Travel Along your Hero
In Some Quests you are after all Tasked to take along your Finest Soldiers
And I always feel something missing here. :P
This would also Add a nice PvP Statistic Later since one could make Duells fighting with their Honor Guard :P
As a Normal Unit would Basicly be ranked into the Hero Lines
tough I guess there really is more Importand stuff right now
just filling some Suggestions to get a use of Ressources and Influence stockpiling for no Reason ^^

I'd like to see the ability for Honor Guard's to be custom named at the building as well. Call it Knights of the "inset corney name here" and what not. Though obviously I don't understand how the game interacts with the database and if that is even possible.

Well thats a Good Question
So far most Units have only Permanent Names
so theres no Way to Name a Unit right now
Including your "Hero" Unit
I guess Easiest way would be to do this Client Sided
Means Each Client gets one more File which will Contain Text Strings from which Names can be Called
Means you would need 4 Calls for each Unit
Own Unit Name String used if the Hero is Your Unit and Leads to your File
Allied Unit Name String used if the Hero is your Ally and Leads to your Allys File
Enemy Unit Name String used if the Hero is Your Enemy and Leading to your Enemys File
And Enemy Ally Unit Name String used if the Hero is the Alliy of your Enemy
So in usual Game this wont be much work
since your Client only inserts a Text String from your Own Computer
called by the Unit which´s Data is safed on Server
In PvP would be more Complicatet since you would need to Differeniate 4 Units from each other
thus a Parameter to Differeniate must be Given
And on top they need to be Dynamic for each Person
Difference is taken by
Now the Server must call the Clients for that Position and assign the Forwarded Names to the Right Units
That would Certainly be some Work as it means to do a Patch
and edit quite a number of Files as well as maybe Creating a new File
Tough I think a System for that is most likely already in Place for Hero Customization
so maybe its not even needed to do a Roundabout way like this in the First place

And we should have the possibility to capture enemy units that are fleeing from battle and sell them as slaves on NPC market or sell them back to original owners.
Selling back to original owner may work as a message sent to the player where he can accept, for an amount of resources, or decline the redemption of those units.
But, the possibility of capturing unit should then open only if the player has a prison. Ok, it could work different for all the 3 races.
For humans - the captured unit can be sold as NPC slave for resource; can be transformed in to peasants; or sent back to it's original owner for a fee.
For Elves - the captured unit can be sold as NPC slave for resource; can be transformed in to gaia animals; or sent back to it's original owner for a fee.
And for Orcs - the captured unit can be sold as NPC slave for resource; sent back to it's original owner for a fee; or, favored by Orcs, eat them allive ... ok, transform them into food resources. :D

I am against the Capturing part
This would not match with the Game at all
