Hey guys, not sure many of you remember me from BETA, i played a hell of a lot aswell as helping out with a late of bug reports and such which resulted in them getting fixed. Due to me starting university i was unable to continue playing the BETA and enjoy the game, even with the bugs that were a constant issue - as with all betas :)

Anyway, i was thinking of purchasing DoF, since it's the game i love and enjoy what the developers do for the community, such as being active on the forum and such. I just wanted to know the state of the game really. Can anyone let me know the good, the bad and the damn right epic of hte game? Is it still buggy? have lag issues etc?

Hey, welcome back. :)

The game is awesome, though there are still a bit of bugs. Some serious pvp lag, but the devs are working on fixing it now. Town pvp was added as of last night, have not logged in since then but it looks amazing.

I'd say get it. :D

Hi :) , The good keeps getting longer and the bad shorter..that being said there's always a few bugs. I really enjoyed playing through the 3 versions of the main campaign and seiging the upgraded NPC towns, now with town warfare hitting the lands the bugs should hopefully be rounded up in the next week. Dof is back in indie status (my preference). So yeah lots has happened. BTW a new pathfinding system is coming soon which will cut the lag a lot in the pvp side of the lag.

Well look at it like this. As GP said, the list of good stuff get's longer every day and the bad starts to get smaller as they fix things. As with any independent developer fixing bugs takes time. That being said, they are extremely responsive on fixing issues. In fact, I havn't even seen large teams like Blizzard be able to hotfix and patch as fast as Konstantine and the team do.

If you enjoyed DOF in beta then you should enjoy it now. I felt it was worth my money and since there is no subscription it's not like you will feel compelled to demand x number of enhancements or fixes per month since it's free after the initial expense.

The more of us beta players that invest now, the more resources Konstantine will have to improve the game for us.

Good to see alot of positives within the community. And glad to see you made advisor state GPS - i remember you being very active during the beta and such. I guess i will have to succumb to the itch i ahve for playing the game, i just enjoyed it to much - I just have to see how my cash flow resides before i buy it.

Guess i'll see you all on the battlefield :D
