Is there any difference between training a unit in your home town and leveling it to level 10 or a merc that you purchase and then level to 10?

at the moment no
but probably mercenaries will be nerfed in future

Is there any difference between training a unit in your home town and leveling it to level 10 or a merc that you purchase and then level to 10?
There seems to be a difference in hit points and fire power, although damage reduction in armor is the same. The home units have better hitpoints.
