Other then siege equipment such as a cata or cannons type weapon that do damage to units as well as buildings they should not take up a unit member slot in the 60/60. Ladders, towers, rams ect. should be "picked up" by a unit in your army for use and can be dropped. They do nothing on their own and as tools shouldn't be inc in the armys cap or add to its attack score. A town on the defense already has walls, towers, tower weapons, traps, possible garrison, can continue to make units, and of course its army. Defense should have a edge but if the attacking force has limit its self with rams ect. they have a very small chance at winning no matter how well they play.

I'd also like to sugest that a army is carrying these items after a battle they lose can be picked up by the winning army or broken down for wood/stone as long as its a open field combat and not a town siege.

I have an idea for siege weapons for orcs. Cow throwers! It would totally work!

It really would, too; especcially if the cows carry terrible orcish germs;)

Seriously though, I agree with Magicmud. If an army has to shrink in able to attack towns, the defenders are going to tear them apart.

if your going to make a catapult like that. body piles would be better, why waste cows <.< i'd believe they'd just dump random corpses. humans elfes.. heh even orcs and shoot it at the enemy for the terror effect.
