Chat Function?

I apologise if this has not been addressed but I have not seen this issue addressed anywhere really..

What will the ingame chat function be like for MMO?

On a battlefield there should probably not be a chat function or maybe just the simple enter to bring up text bar

But on the MMO page? I think it should be rather open like a chat room, but not like a forum as the reply time is rather annoying... But the chat will have to be monitored or such or they will fall into chaos like the BFME2 chatrooms :(

I think it would be cool to send diplomates in the mmo mod, to chat and make deals :p

I'm sure there will be chat lobbies with appropriate features, like Battle.net or GPGnet. They're the backbone of the multiplayer experience, after all.

Of course, but how it is implemented will change the whole way people play the game...
