is it just me, or did it say they were going "open beta" by releasing keys.

it might be my mistake, but open beta to me would be open testing
not selective testing, that would be closed beta.

i don't think releasing more keys substitutes for being open beta.
especially when they require you to have been a member for 6 odd months now.
when half the accounts that registered back then are no longer active.

As someone said a little while back. An open beta just means you dont have to sign as strict of terms as a closed beta person would. Also an open beta is usually a stage in development when the company feels it is moving closer to the final project and that most of what needs to be done is fix bugs. So no open beta doesnt always mean anyone is invited however if you read around the forums you can probably find a beta key you can get.

Also, I think there's a minimum posts you need in order to play.

Bah, still won't let me apply. How long do I have to be a forum member?

I have a long history of posting to forums for games, including those in closed and open betas, but I've been disappointed by too many over the years to waste time on a forum for a game I haven't even played/tested.
