I'm sure this post won't counts, but it's my last on before going to bed. How fast did all you you guys make 10 contribution posts?

By golly I'm tired. See you all later!

Ha ha, makes sense. Having to make 10 contributive posts is really hard. If you're typing out whole paragraphs like they want you to, then you run out of things to say. If you do keep posting, it's most likely you'll end up repeating what you've previously stated a lot.

Plus, they say it's about to be Open beta. Being chosen for open beta doesn't make much sense, cause that's more like closed beta. Open beta is where you sign up and BAM!!! Good to go.

I'd point out that they 10 post requirements are being dropped for the open beta. A warm welcome to all the future testers :)

UPDATE: This does NOT apply to all you new members. This was for the email sent out to old registered lurkers during the beginning of Closed Beta 4. If you are new from the 505 announcement, you can still (and should if possible) follow the tips in this thread to post nice posts, but you don't have to do this to get in the beta. Don't take this as a "spam away" notice though, because spam will still not be tolerated.

For the love of God, how many times do I need to repeat this.
It's also kind of sad how you guys openly admit that you don't really care for the game and just want to play with it because you can..?
Also Open beta is still invite-only, just that more people will be invited (significantly more).

Lack of proper spelling takes away from your post count!

- or I wish it did. :p

Kindof a pointless topic, but I post quite frequently, as you can undoubtedly see. It took me about two days.

I'm sorry to keep this random topic alive, but it still hasn't left the front page of the forums.

I've read that topics twice now, and I still have a couple of questions about it. I could post under that forum, but I'm afraid the respond would be a huge hassle to find.

Are you saying that only people originally from the previous closed beta's can be invited to this new open beta? Would be nice to know so that way I wouldn't keep filling up your forums with what you might think as annoying content.

Thanks for taking the time to look over my thread! I hope tyo not spam the forums, and can't wait to try out the game in the future.

Sign-ups for this Open Beta stage1 close 28th of February but the actual beta will probably start mid-March to allow us time to sort through the applications, send out invites and to get updates ready.

There will be about 2000 spots available with the first 600 or so spots going to those who signed up for Closed Beta 5 but didn't get in.

The remaining spots will be allocated based partially on what system specs we're looking to test. Just so you know, we're not only looking at top end computers, we want to test on a range of systems.

Post count/quality will also influence who we invite as we'd prefer people who will most likely report bugs, make suggestions and get involved in the community rather than those simply looking for a free game. Some people don't like the minimum 10 post criteria, but if people aren't posting now, how can we know if they're likely to post beta reports?

Although, having said all that, considering there are currently 2,186 active members (out of 4,744 members) with some of those already in Closed Beta, chances are good you'll get in :D

If for some reason you don't make it into this beta stage, don't despair, there will be another beta stage as mentioned by my boss in another thread when someone asked if they'd get into beta:

1Ok, ok, not truly Open, more semi-Open but open in the sense that there are open sign-ups whereas the early closed beta stages required winning a competition

Took me forever to find this.. Not quit sure why.. maybe that its 2:11am might have something to do with it. . .

I do have to say though that I agree.. The game does look awesome and its not really all that hard to find a few posts to give your 2 cents on.. Course they do call me 4 cents.. Since I always have my 2 cents for everyone else's 2 cents.. :D

From my limited understanding, anyone who applies into the open beta within the time limit (28th) have a chance to get in.

This thread doens't have much of a reason to exist and has also proven itself useless by ceasing to spam and off-topic discussions.

End of line.
