I would really love to see moats added to city upgrades. And maybe even a unit specifically for tackling them. Like a team that chains rocks into the moat so you can get your ladders up. Or maybe a team that dig's, then rallies the dirt into the moat. Maybe put it on a timer... If it the team takes casualties, it slows the progress of the dirt/rock bridge. If it gets annihilated progress stops, and you might need to pull some of your infantry to get it completed.

Is there an omni killing fortification unit? I hate those I like it when I can say HA you cant get in...

it is more interesting if you can build huge walls (better if you can personilze it, with small caserm on it and troops that control it and if their will be attack they do alarm signals with fire) everywhere in the map like the limes or watchtowers to defend strategic points near a bridge or something like that sorry for my english

Huge walls sound a better idea to me, but until i try the game do not take my opinion so seriously ^^

Lets take that moat to the extreme and have an island in the center of a lake for the castle

Not sure if you can get boats into small lakes? But I would love to see moats. Maybe put spikes under water. Probably be op though lol.

Our engine doesn't currently support a moat defense, but that is one of the things we will consider if we ever start work on a new game.
