was just wondering, as there's more then one city slot you can use, can you trade between them?

Not in MMORTS mode - as each of your 4 towns is a new campaign instance. For example think World of Warcraft - one of your town is Elven Mage, and another is Dwarven Warrior.

However - some resources - like Influence, can be traded between your towns. This could be a good boost if you already have a well established town and your starting a new town.

And in Kingdom Wars campaign - all of your town can trade between each other.

Hmm still asking myself if players that have only one city will be horribly inferior to people wo will have 4 cities etc. ^^

As long as there's at least some meaningful trade, I'll be happy.

it would be so cool to trade since it is a good way to make lots of money

Ok I'm confused. I saw elsewhere you couldn't found new towns in the mmo version? So 1 town or 4 towns?

Trading anything would probably offer alot to the game. Hope there is atleast something. ;)

ok now im also very confused. so you can form new towns, online? and it would be very weird if could not trade resources with other towns...

each city slot is like a new char slot in a mmo and i was wondering if those 4 could trade between themselves (which would give an unfair advantage to ppl with more cities) which Konstantin Fomenko just said you cant.

but there will be other trading in the online game

Well i mean everyone can create 4 cities when they get dof. I just don't want to keep 4 cities going as soon as I log into MMORTS mode.

Trading never really works for me, due to the fact that people would rather raid and get more then they would for a trade! 0_o;

It sounds like to me that everyone who plays the MMORTS will have an Elven town, Human town, Orc Town and Dwarven town. These towns cannot be completely destroyed but it is up to the player on which race he will focus his time/energy. Does that sound right?

Yet I am assuming 3-4 friends could all trade with each others towns on each other's accounts.... hope trading resources doesn't make you gold... that would just be too easy to exploit.

I did not even think about trade! So focused on the war aspect (evil grin) however what is influence ? and where can i read about more details about this game? (other than the trailers and glittery stuff like that) Im guessing influence is like honor in WoW or renoun in WAR

Im really counting on trade aspect, having some sort of Economy in this game would add so much to it and bring in alot of players and keep people interested. Trade can add so much depth to an RTS :D

It will be interesting to see how the trade works and what you trade for. maybe a perk to being in a guild is you can trade amongst yourselves.

12-05-2010, 07:35 AM
I'm going to try and perfect trading as im a tradesman in the trading frontier alliance

12-05-2010, 11:02 AM
the trading will probably be done though the trade caravans you will make and send out to trade with the npc cities

12-05-2010, 10:48 PM
Im wondering if its going to be that you cant trade with a city after you have pillaged it as in realistic terms there is no way someone is going to want to trade with you after you have just taken everything of value from them.

I also find it a bit confusing. I hope that trading is a big part of the game, and that raiding and plundering is for the greedy ones. Ofcause i expect the Humans and elfs will benefit more from trading since they are more defensive than the Orcs, making the Orcs would benefit a bit more from raiding than the humans and elf because they have a weaker economy.

As i know there will be big part of trading... Its a strategy... ;)
