I think they implemented this is some games, I'm wondering if it will be here as well.
Dont get me wrong, the music posted on the facebook page isnt bad, but I do enjoy having some sort of rock music playing while im marching my army into battle and then having it crescendo into heavy metal music... :D

It depends really. Is it really necessary?
I mean, i like the idea, but really can't the necessity to implement it in DoF, except for a better battle atmosphere (and cool soundtracks in replays and home made videos).

well... i guess its just for convience. I do like playing games fullscreened and managing the music in the game itself is alot easier than it would be to like alt-tab on a background running program.

Maybe it will be part of the Scenario Design Editer, who knows.

you mean ingame as in Online kingdoms?

because if it were a part of SDE, you could use the maps in multiplayer skirmish, with your own music.

hmmm well there are some games with a built in music player that plays mp3 files in the specified game folder. So you could easily change music, pause-stop-play, ingame.

actually i posted a thread like this http://www.reverieworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1297
Here is an answer:
Yeah - background applications be it winamp or itunes don`t slow down the game. I got a feeling most of our staff prefers to run some custom music in the background - after all thousands of hours with the vanila game music gets old...
So one option for you guys would be to turn the game music off and run your own stuff in the background.

But here`s a better idea. Most likely we`ll leave DoF music folder as easy to mod as it is right now. You just dump your .mp3s into Dawn of Fantasy/Music/ folder. Some for the battle tracks, and some for the peace tracks. Atm we have to rename all the music files to Combat-002.mp3 or Peace-011.mp3 e.t.c, but thanks to your feedback we`ll try to include a feature to save you this step. Just add your .mp3s to Peace or Combat folder - and that`s it.
