If you ask me, there's too many to choose from.

Of course, if I had to pick one, you can't beat the biggest cliche of all time: You probably saw this one coming from a MILE away (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6sj89xgnl4)

or this

but those are the funniest moments and i'm not sure if Space Balls enters the SciFi category.

Khan was quite an epic character. I think his hatred of Kirk was justified. It was true that the colony [prison/thingy] had not been checked on, etc..

Sorry, I am a trekki/LOTR/ancient history/star wars fan. Sometimes I just rattle.

Indeed. I've always been primarily a Star Trek when it comes to SF but I found myself enthralled by B5 and the growth of its characters. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it in a TV series.

It still saddens me that it never got the treatment it deserved but I guess we should be grateful this show even exists.

When it comes to B5 epicness the mere season 5 opening always does the trick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXbKKhEZVVk

Firefly also deserves an honorable mention, another great thing that wasn't meant to be: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrAS20mNZUE

Seriously, Battle Star Galactica remake, and Caprica, good series, but we're gonna have to wait for a good long while before we see something like B5 again!

You know it is possible:)

Its too bad really we don't have scifi in norway, i mean i got the channel but nothing shows up there... Its annoying since i visited USA once and the only channel i ever watched was scifi and its awesome. DAMN YOU norwegian television companies you should burn in hell for not giving it to me! Anyways i have seen a lot of movies and series but still i want more but its damned hard to scour the internet for some... So if any of you know any good please make a list:D (space based means i want to see ones with starships, like fighting and action and lots of destruction...)

Hopefully i will get new stuff to watch for another year... Last year i used 5 months watching series and movies to reach through a lot really, and the kinda stuff i like is kinda like the action in serenity

Ohh yeah you mean the drones and all the awesome vehicles along with the possibility of aliens and parasites that kill people indiscriminately... Ohh yeah its also about the possibility of defective machines, nano technology, human devourers, giant mechs, great special effects, massive armadas and that new toaster you just gave your mother for Christmas:D What is the world without sci-fi:rolleyes:

Could not have said it better - but let me try: e-hem.

the best areas of interest in my mind ar e both Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Sci-fi gives one a futuristic perspective, while Fantasy gives you a quasi-historical/mythical perspective. Thus they are best when appreciated together, for they balance out at the present, keeping you from getting too caught up in either one while immensly appreciating both.
