Well I had an idea and I'm wondering what you guys think about it. I think it would be nice to have this little extra option to play with your friends and use the stronghold/units/heroes etc. from the MMO mode but a loss/win wouldn't count. Basicly just showing off with your big base and goofing around with friends.:p (Also it shouldn't have level restrictions and could be possible only in private games).

I agree, I think it would be cool if you were able to import your MMO stats into skirmish mode.

Not exactly what i ment but your idea is actually better lol.

I know, but I think it would be easier if they just made importing into battles - rather than add an extra skirmish fun mode to the MMO section.

Maybe there could be 2 games to choose form, ranked and unranked.

We are still working on our formula for the MMORTS, however we are seriously considering a PvE mode, and we will have more details once we have worked them all.

i forgot what PvE means!

PvE is Player vs. Enviroment, basically you play against the computer, but you still can team up with your friends and there are still other people in the world, but you don't play against other players.

oh kewl then continue working on the very popular mode PvE

A PvE in the MMO mode would be great if the AI is good enough.

it would be even better if i WAS better then an AI

It would great if it would adapt to what your army is so they can counter it.

As long as the AI doesn't use it's hyper task assigment speed to destroy you before you had a chance to build half a decent base.

Yeah like in BFME2. I think the computer is going to be good and hopefully it'll make inteligent decisions like a real player.

I disagree with that; with the exception of "easy" AI settings, they should build their base as fast as possible. With respect to BFME (especially #2) the AI had extreme cheating going on in the background, so it wasn't that it had fast reflexes, it was actually cheating to build its structures faster than you can build your's. As a result, that's a bad counter-example.

What I will say is that the early-game preparations are an absolutely critical part of your game plan. The AI may pull its punches, but I certainly won't. If it delays building its army, I will efficiently prepare my own and annihilate it before it gets around to catching up to me. I've seen many AI's reduced to pathetic fodder because they delay building their armies and I simply waltz in with a few units and severely damage their infrastructure. Unless we're talking about easy difficulty, it's simply basic technique that it establish a working economy and army as quickly as possible.

Also, as the game ages, new strategies will develop. The only strategies the AI will be able to use are the ones the developers find best.

Well, that can always be patched, but you're certainly right. I find many AI's are often very poorly adaptive and preset in their ways.

In Company of Heroes, the harder armies if a cursor power was hoverred above them (like Bomb Artillery power) then the tank/unit would move. WITHOUT you clicking it. That is AI cheating

Definetly something to should never be allowed in a game!

Germans WERE the inventors of the tanks... Although U.S.A. used them first...

Your point? Each match isn't the revelation of inventing tanks before the other, just building them. You can invent something first, but someone else can improve and find a way to mass produce them better than you did.

Actually the British invented the first tracked tanks at the end of WW1. Germans just improved on the design.

Thank you LordSlayer then, that just reinforces my point above then ;)
